Devery & Manuel's Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Engagement
We were so excited when Devery and Manuel's engagement shoot day finally arrived. It was an overcast day in Santa Cruz, but they were all smiles! Originally, the plan had just been to shoot at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk only, but when we learned that the couple were big football fans (of opposing teams!), we knew we had to add in something to show off their team jerseys. We worked with the nearby Santa Cruz High School to get permission to shoot on their football field, and it was so much fun!
Next, we moved to the Boardwalk. We have always loved the idea of a carnival engagement shoot, and we were extra excited to visit the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Did you know that James and I actually had our own first date there? And after all the rides and carnival food, I almost threw up on him! Luckily, everyone was still feeling happy (and healthy) by the time we finished. Devery and Manuel were up for anything and everything, so we had an absolute blast! They rode some classic rides, and even got a couple treats! It's sure to be a fun time when you combine an engagement shoot with a date night!
